Detour Ahead (TC1903) – Multi-Message Sign

The Detour Ahead (TC1903) multi-message sign is a 600 × 600 millimetre traffic yellow regulatory panel designed to provide motorists with advance notice of a detour on the route ahead. This sign gives a clear, enforceable directive to prepare drivers for an upcoming change in normal traffic flow due to roadworks, closures, or incidents. Manufactured to Queensland Government traffic control requirements, the panel integrates seamlessly with the state-approved multi-message frame system.

As part of Queensland’s modular multi-message system, the Detour Ahead panel can be displayed on its own or paired with complementary warnings such as “Road Closed,” “Detour Left,” or “Detour Right” to form one compliant display. The approved frame supports flexible configurations, including two 600 × 600 millimetre panels above a 1200 × 300 millimetre panel, or a single 1200 × 600 millimetre panel above with the same 1200 × 300 millimetre panel beneath. This modular system enables councils, contractors, and traffic management providers to update signage quickly to suit changing traffic management requirements.

Produced with CL400 Class 1W reflective material in traffic yellow, the Detour Ahead panel ensures excellent visibility during daylight, nighttime, and adverse weather conditions. Its durable, weather-resistant construction complies fully with Australian traffic sign standards, delivering long-term reliability in temporary and emergency traffic management. By providing advance warning of detours, the sign improves motorist preparedness, reduces confusion, and supports safer, smoother diversions.

For road closures, construction works, and temporary traffic control, the Detour Ahead (TC1903) sign delivers trusted compliance, high-visibility performance, and durable construction in one modular panel.
