Footpath Closed Ahead (TC2216) – Multi-Message Sign

The Footpath Closed Ahead (TC2216) multi-message sign is a 600 × 600 millimetre traffic yellow regulatory panel designed to warn pedestrians in advance that a footpath is closed due to works, hazards, or temporary restrictions. This sign provides a clear, enforceable alert so pedestrians can plan alternative routes safely, reducing the risk of entering unsafe areas. Manufactured to Queensland Government traffic control requirements, the panel integrates seamlessly with the state-approved multi-message frame system.

As part of Queensland’s modular multi-message system, the Footpath Closed Ahead panel can be displayed on its own or paired with complementary pedestrian guidance such as “Use Other Footpath” or directional panels like “Pedestrians Left” or “Pedestrians Right” to create one compliant display. The approved frame supports flexible layouts, including two 600 × 600 millimetre panels above a 1200 × 300 millimetre panel, or a single 1200 × 600 millimetre panel above with the same 1200 × 300 millimetre panel beneath. This modular system allows councils, contractors, and traffic management providers to adapt signage quickly as conditions change.

Produced with CL400 Class 1W reflective material in traffic yellow, the Footpath Closed Ahead panel ensures excellent visibility during daylight, nighttime, and adverse weather conditions. Its durable, weather-resistant construction complies fully with Australian traffic sign standards, providing long-term reliability in construction zones and temporary pedestrian management areas. By clearly alerting pedestrians in advance, the sign enhances safety, improves compliance, and supports efficient footpath detours.

For construction zones, infrastructure upgrades, and temporary pedestrian traffic management, the Footpath Closed Ahead (TC2216) sign offers trusted compliance, high-visibility performance, and durable construction in one modular panel.
